mhance, a leading Microsoft Solutions Partner, Microsoft’s Nonprofit Partner of the Year 2023 and trusted provider of Dynamics 365 solutions to the Not-for-Profit sector, was selected by BASE to bring its legacy systems up to date.
BASE is a national charity representing over 300 organisations that support disabled, neurodivergent and disadvantaged people into good quality careers. It is also the leading voice for the evidence-based model of Supported Employment, which focuses on individualised support, employer engagement and job matching. When BASE was faced with the challenge of working with outdated and inefficient systems that took time away from their core mission of supporting people, they turned to Microsoft’s brand-new Community Training Platform to meet their requirements and leading Microsoft Solution Partner mhance to deliver a tailored Dynamics 365 customer relationship management (CRM) system.
The team needed to bring their systems up to date and also wanted to increase their reach and impact by delivering high-quality training to front-line workers in the field of accessibility and Supported Employment. That’s why they applied for and were selected as one of Microsoft’s non-profit tech accelerator partners, which gave them access to funding, expertise and technology from Microsoft.
With the help of specialist Microsoft trainers, the best solutions for their needs were selected and the Microsoft Community Training Platform was implemented. Community Training is a new platform to train the world. Powered and secured by Microsoft Azure, it is a mobile-friendly skilling platform that lets learners access and engage with content anytime, anywhere, from any device. Custom content and assessments can easily be added to support community skilling at scale. Learner management, communication and measurement can also be automated. This cloud-based learning management system allows the team at BASE to create and deliver online courses to their target audience.
Laura Davies, Chief Executive at BASE says “To ensure the success of this program, we recognise the importance of combining human and technological resources to create sustainable models that empower individuals, employers, and communities. We have committed to train at least 10,000 front line workers who will be able to assist job seekers with accessible tech solutions. We are grateful for the partnership with Microsoft, which we believe will have a positive impact on how Supported Employment integrates accessible tech and sets a standard of excellence across the UK, Europe, and the World. We are looking forward to launching the new training platform in February 2024 and working with Microsoft and mhance to continue to develop the training offer and promote this amazing opportunity across the UK, Europe and beyond.”
BASE also partnered with mhance to develop a tailored CRM system, based on Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Fundraising & Engagement, that streamlines their operations and data management.
Alan Moody, CEO at mhance “Our collaboration with BASE is testament to our and Microsoft’s dedication in leveraging technology for social impact. Working closely with BASE, we have implemented a tailored Dynamics 365 CRM system and the innovative Microsoft Community Training Platform. The team at BASE exemplifies an organisation keen on maximising Microsoft tools, and our CRM solution streamlines their operations, replacing error-prone spreadsheets with Dynamics for seamless course lifecycle management. Our commitment extends beyond technology implementation; we’re excited to continue supporting BASE in their future goals. mhance is proud to offer end-to-end solutions tailored for charities, showcasing our ability to elevate organisations like BASE through the transformative power of Microsoft Dynamics 365.”
mhance also implemented and trained the team on Dynamics Marketing, which BASE intends to use for email campaigns, eliminating the need for a third-party tool and further integrating with the Microsoft suite. Going forwards, BASE will also be using Power BI reporting which will integrate seamlessly with the charity’s Dynamics CRM solution. The tool will provide BASE with interactive dashboards and reports that can help the team monitor and improve their performance. Power BI will also enable self-service analytics, allowing users to explore data and answer questions on their own and enabling the team to leverage the full potential of their data to make informed decisions for their training courses.
