Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is being rebranded as Microsoft Dynamics 365, which will be live’ following the official launch at Future Decoded on 1st November 2016. Therefore, in the meantime please treat the terms Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365 as interchangeable wherever you see them.
But this is more than just a rebrand. It represents a genuinely game-changing move by Microsoft and their approach to business productivity solutions.
Why choose Dynamics 365 as my next CRM?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 includes all of the features and functionality of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online as we know it today. But Dynamics 365 also includes a number of modules that were previously add-ons’, such as web portals and service management, along with new capabilities such as PowerApp productivity tools and Flow integration and automation engine. These are massive steps forward for Microsoft which we will be expanding on further after the launch.
Dynamics 365 also brings Microsoft Dynamics ERP to the cloud for the first time – with options for smaller businesses and large enterprises, which will see Dynamics AX integrated with CRM into a single platform. My ERP expert colleagues will be providing more details on this element.
Personally, I have been waiting many, many years for this and it is going to make a huge difference – a single cloud-based business productivity solution is what our customers need, want and expect.
CRM – as Dynamics 365 – will be more expensive as of 1st November, let’s not pretend otherwise. But it will be so much more than it is now.
Our existing customers can learn more about the benefits of cloud-based solutions at our upcoming customer conference.
