February 2024, UK.
mhance, a leading Microsoft Solutions Partner, Microsoft’s Nonprofit Partner of the Year 2023 and trusted provider of Dynamics 365 solutions to the Not-for-Profit sector, has been selected by Cats Protection to revolutionise the charity’s customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading cat welfare charity and has helped an average of 157,000 cats and kittens a year over the last five years through its national network which includes around 210 volunteer-run branches and 34 centres. As well as its rehoming work, the charity also campaigns for better protections in law for cats, provides cat care advice to the public and runs a range of services to support cat owners, including free fostering for owners fleeing domestic abuse.
With ambitious plans to expand the way Cats Protection interacts with its people (employees and volunteers), customers, supporters and prospects and driven by its 10-year strategy and related business benefits – including increasing revenues and becoming more customer-centric, the collaboration with mhance will see the implementation of a new CRM platform. As part of its Single Customer & Supporter View (SCSV) Programme, delivery of the new CRM will focus on providing Cats Protection with a comprehensive overview of interactions across all its products and services.
Following a thorough tender process undertaken by Cats Protection, and after evidencing its extensive experience and knowledge in the sector, mhance was selected as the partner of choice to deliver a Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution which will include Power Platform and Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit’s Fundraising & Engagement.
Stacey Wood, Head of Data & Analytics at Cats Protection, states: “We went to market seeking a CRM platform that is modern, robust, flexible, and scalable enough to enable us to meet our strategic aims and realise the business benefits that underpin our business case. As part of this process, we were also seeking an expert delivery partner to ensure the successful implementation of the new platform. After impressing throughout the tender process, it was clear mhance was the right fit for Cats Protection and their passion and expertise shone through. We very much look forward to working closely with mhance during delivery of our new CRM.”
mhance’s recommended Microsoft solutions will introduce to Cats Protection new ways of working, giving the charity the ability to track and monitor customer and supporter lifecycles, and provide insights into engagement across all touchpoints. The project’s focus is on engaging Cats Protection’s audience to build greater awareness and long-term relationships. The project will also leverage AI and analytics, and the mhance team will lead on data migration and integrations with existing best of breed solutions.
Alan Moody, CEO of mhance, expressed excitement about the project, highlighting the opportunity to make a significant difference and support Cats Protection through its journey of change. “The solution we proposed is designed to be customer-centric, delivering the data insight and automation needed to enhance efficiency, productivity, and income generation. Cats Protection can rely on our experience in delivering solutions in the Not-for-Profit sector, ensuring the technical and architectural roadmap aligns with the charity’s business change roadmap. We are thrilled to be a part of the organisation’s 10-year strategy and are very much looking forward to continuing the journey with the team.”
The solution will remove the need for bespoke systems and manual workarounds and will seamlessly integrate with existing internal and third-party business systems, providing impactful data insights and personalised communications. The project aims to not only replace the existing fundraising solution but to implement a centralised and customer-centric business platform used by all teams across the charity, placing the supporter at the heart of every activity.
mhance, viewed as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the sector, will guide and drive change within Cats Protection. The company’s partnership-focused approach, coupled with the intelligent Microsoft platform and cloud solutions, positions Cats Protection at the forefront of technological advances in the Not-for-Profit sector. By selecting mhance as its strategic partner, Cats Protection is poised to navigate the evolving digital landscape and continue its mission of providing the best possible life for every cat.
